Spider Climb. The spider can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.

If the poison damage reduces the target to 0 hit points, the target is stable but poisoned for 1 hour, even after regaining hit points, and is paralyzed while poisoned in this way.

About Phase Spider

Phase spiders are aberrant arachnids that can shift between the material plane and the ethereal plane at will, making them nearly impossible to fight by conventional means. They hunt by phasing in, biting, and phasing out before any retaliation is possible.

  • Ethereal Jaunt: moves to or from the Ethereal Plane as a bonus action — can bite and vanish in a single turn.
  • Poison Bite requires a DC 11 Constitution save or take an additional 4d8 poison damage.
  • Cannot be cornered — any attempt to surround it simply causes it to phase out.
